Unwavering Focus

The focus of the mind is very important for success in the world and spiritual life also. The focus of the mind is very necessary for every aspect of life whether you want to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
So in today's topic, I am going to write about "How to create Resolute Focus".

In my humble opinion that most people can't concentrate today is mainly of two reasons

1. We're never taught how to concentrate
2. We don't practice. concentration

"If we're never taught  how to do something, so how we'll practice"

We've always been asked to concentrate on studies, eating, exercise, work, etc. But we're never told how to do it, how to perform it? Nobody showed us the way how to perform concentration.

Why we are always distracted?

If I say to be good at something you have to do it 8 hours daily and 6 days/week. And when you do that you seriously become good at those things. Have you ever thought why are you good at distraction, why you are easy to get distracted?. Its because you practice it daily, whether you're giving your time to social media, mobile phones, or anything else which you can call as a distraction because you are practicing it daily.

I've heard people saying that technology is a great distractor, social media is a great distractor. In my opinion first its a "NO" and secondly its a " YES".

LET"S UNDERSTAND IT BY AN EXAMPLE-

You have a smartphone and it keeps on popping notifications with a sound, and you are holding it and saying how can I serve you, master, then my friend you live in that world of distraction because the technology is using you. But on the other hand, you choose to silent those notifications while you are working and using the technology more intentionally and you are in charge when to use or not, then you are doing a great job.

SO HOW TO BECOME GOOD AT CONCENTRATING-

  • We start by understanding the mind, Its the most powerful and complex tool in the world. Let's understand from the monk's perspective.
  • There are two things you need to understand - "Awareness and The mind"

"Imagine Awareness as the glowing ball of light that can float around and Imagine your mind as a vast space which consists of various sections in it like anger, jealousy, food, sex, happiness, joy, science, art, etc."

  • To be concentrated is to be able to keep your awareness on one thing for an extended period of time.
  • Don't let the ball of light(awareness) drift here and there.
  • Try to focus on one thing at a time.
  • Bring this practice into everything you do.
  • Keep yourself aware of your actions.
  • Whenever you do something, it could be anything just keep your awareness, energy on that task only.

What I've experienced nowadays that we all are trying to be a multi-tasker and thing it as fashion or a hot thing to be. But believe we are only damaging our power to concentrate and reducing the efficiency of our mind. So try to keep your awareness with you don't let the other immaterial or the living things to guide your awareness.

Somewhere in our life we would have experienced anxiety and would have ended up doing different types of activity and following different suggestions and still not getting the right solutions. So in today's topic, I'll be sharing my thoughts on   "How to change your anxiety into excitement?". What happens inside you? When you feel anxious this is exactly what happens; your heartbeat becomes faster, you go from a resting phase to an outburst of thoughts, because anxiety comes from thoughts, Your stress hormone runs throughout your body and burst out. During this state, your body prepares for a fight with your thoughts and its fighters are " cortisol and adrenaline " which helps your body to fight with anxiety in other words, your b...

Mindset: Which one is you?

Mindset: Does It Matter? Mindset plays a great role in each of our lives, whether we are a student, teachers, sports player, businessmen, doctor, and even a chai wala. Mindset matters a lot in every individual's life. Mindsets change the meaning of failure, the meaning of effort, meaning of character and meaning of relationship . There are two types of mindsets:   Fixed Mindset-   They fail in something, they stop pursuing it. They are comfortable with who they are. They think intelligence is a fixed quantity and cannot be increased with time and guidance. They love to label themselves. Success to them is” Proving themselves smart and knowledgeable”. They focus more on “ Will I be accepted or rejected”. Wants to be with someone who can “Put them on a pedestal and worship them. Growth Mindset - Believes in perseverance and resilience. Doesn’t believe in labeling themselves. Always hung...

How to say "NO"?

In today's topic, we are going to talk about "How to say NO?" . We all have been through this thing so many times, We almost ended up in saying yes than no. So why this happens to us all of the time ( you might be thinking of it). Let me make you clear that most of us reading this would have gone through this and regretting afterward that why I was not able to say "NO". So let's learn "How To Say No" We often tend to say Yes instead of No, on the basis of how another person will think. We say yes because we fear what another person will think. It is more damaging than saying NO at that point. It get hard for some of us to say "No" where the others are able to say it with ease. Let's take the example of a person who always says "YES" to everything or anything asked him like  Will you lend me some money? (he knows that I'm a clever guy and not going to return his money on time). Let's go and chi...
